چکیده

In seismic performance based design context, engineers are faced to a difficult task estimate the response of soil-structure interaction (SSI) systems. To accomplish this successfully, all sources random and epistemic uncertainties should be taken into account. However, uncertain parameters have not same influence on model response; sensitivity analysis is therefore required. This article treats two following aspects: first one perform in order study their structural response. The effect done by studying maximum structure displacement towards used materials variation (fc’, εc0, εcu, Es, fsy, α, εsu, A, ξ) soil properties (ξg, ν) SSI consists determining, quantifying analyzing how outputs N2-SSI affected input variables fluctuations. second aspect analysing system considering correlation between (shear wave velocity damping) lack knowledge due correlation. results indicate that very sensitive concrete steel for larger values shear velocity. While, damping Poisson's ratio case with 90 m/s, main inputs greatest output.

The objective of this study is to design a robust direct model reference adaptive controller (DMRAC) for a nonlinear cardiovascular model over a range of plant parameters representing a variety of physical conditions. The direct adaptive controllers used in thisd study require the plant to be almost strictly positive real (ASPR) that is, for a plant to be controlled there must exist a feedback ...

PERFORMANCE BASED OPTIMAL SEISMIC DESIGN OF RC SHEAR WALLS INCORPORATING SOIL–STRUCTURE INTERACTION USING CSS ALGORITHM

In this article optimal design of shear walls is performed under seismic loading. For practical aims, a database of special shear walls is created. Special shear walls are used for seismic design optimization employing the charged system search algorithm as an optimizer. Constraints consist of design and performance limitations. Nonlinear behavior of the shear wall is taken into account and per...

Soft Soil Seismic Design Spectra Including Soil-structure Interaction

Design spectrum is known as an essential tool in earthquake engineering for calculation of maximum (design) responses in a structural system. Soil-structure interaction (SSI), as a phenomenon of coupling of responses of a structure and its underlying soil, was explored after introduction of design spectra and has not been taken into account in developing a design spectrum traditionally. To cons...
